Rental Cabinas
We have been voted a "Frommer's Favorite" and "one of the most popular lodgings in Zancudo." We take pride in providing excellent value at the Sol y Mar.
At Cabinas Sol y Mar, there are five private, screened beachfront cabinas and a 3-storey house available for rent. Four of the cabinas and the house face the ocean, just 50 meters (55 yards) from the Pacific surf. Each cabin is equipped with electricity, fans, hot water showers, and screened windows with shutters. The shutters open to the stunning view and the cool, refreshing breeze off the Pacific. Small groups are also welcome (with advance notice) to this secluded paradise. Laundry, phone, fax, and e-mail services are available for guests.
Duplex Cabinas
(Two private cabinas that share a LONG balcony)
Each Cabina has:
- Direct ocean view (only the garden is between you and the water)
- One double bed
- One single bed
- One sofa that converts to a single
- Private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet
Non-Duplex Cabinas
- Free-standing cabina with its own balcony
- Direct ocean view (only the garden is between you and the water)
- One double bed
- One single bed
- One futon-style sofa that folds out to a double
- Private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet
- Unique shower - a tiled platform surrounded by smooth river rock
Economy Cabina
- On the ocean side of the road, but set a little further back from the ocean
- Ocean view from the side of the cabina is partly obscured by the gardens
- Smaller and more rustic than the other cabins
- One double bed
- Small dormitory-style fridge
- Private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet
- Special discounted rates for long-term stays
All of the cabinas are very comfortable, and are just steps away from the beach. Reservations are suggested during the busiest season (December through May), and "green season" discounts are available from June through November.

There is a 10% discount for stays of one week or longer. Cabina prices are reduced 25% from June through November - The Green Season. Reservations are recommended from December through May.
Camping is available on one portion of the property for $3/night per person with a maximum of 6 campers at one time. A public open-air shower and the restaurant bathrooms are available for campers. A tent with good air flow, and to-the-ground rain-fly is recommended
